How do I wash my velvet bikini? 

We recommend that you hand wash your bikini with cold fresh water after every swim.

Lay the bikini flat out to dry which will prevent wrinkles and creases. We do not recommend ironing your Lula bikini but you can iron it using something in between the garment and iron.

Never use a washing machine to clean your swimwear or tumble dry the garment, this will fade the beautiful colour and wear out the special velvet material.

Try not to use harsh sunscreens with alcohol and this can harm your bikini.

Avoid wearing in extremely warm water temperatures (Like spas or saunas) as this could cause damage to the bikini.

We will not provide a refund for swimsuits that were damaged by these actions. 

*For the tie up bikini style*

Because of the nature of the fabric, we recommend you treat this item carefully. Please do not put too much stress on the strings or tie it up too tight as it will start to become damaged and wear quickly.

Can I return or exchange my swimwear if it does not fit/do not like it?

Exchanges are simple, just email us at lulaswimnz@gmail.com and we will arrange something for you.  Due to the nature of the garment and for hygiene purposes, we are unable to fully refund your purchase. Please consider this when purchasing. 

The item must be: 

  • In original condition

  • Unused (Does not include trying on)

  • All labels still attached and hygiene label still intact

  • Within 31 days of order confirmation

Do I have to pay for postage to return/exchange my swimwear?

The return postage cost is not covered by Lula Swim.
